Ambu® King Mask
Due to its innovative, quality design, the Ambu King Mask is the leading anesthesia mask available today. The Ambu King Mask has a thin and tacky cushion which improves the ability to create an excellent ventilation seal on a variety of patients. The rounded edges design ensures a secure grip and user comfort as well as patient comfort.

The Ambu King Mask has been developed with benefits for both clinicians and patients. The quality design and manufacturing process ensures a thin and tacky cushion that adjusts well to the face. Together with the teardrop shape of the mask, clinicians can get a ventilation seal with minimal pressure to the patient’s face. The quality resin makes the dome very clear for easy observation of the patient’s condition.
The smooth finish with no hard edges and the grooved cushion ensure a consistent and tactile grip.
The Ambu King Mask is also available in a scented version with Fresh Scent, Bubble Gum, Strawberry and Cherry scents.

Phthalate-free material
New phthalate-free and MR Safe Ambu King Mask
Ambu continues to develop on its legacy products including the King Mask. Our ambition to keep the product up-to-date has led to several design improvements that we are currently implementing. Keeping the same design, the new Ambu King Mask will be manufactured in a phthalate-free material to avoid exposure to DEHP. In addition, the check valve has been updated making the Ambu King Mask MR safe. Lastly, face mask sizes 3 to 7RD will be equipped with color-coded hook rings for easy size identification.
General information
Establishing a tight seal
The cushion of the King Mask is manufactured using a thin material which is able to support the establishment of a tight seal around the face of the patient. Together with the anatomical shape, which allows for improved adjustment to the face, the King Mask can be used to form a seal around the patient’s facial anatomy with minimal pressure. In addition, a check valve is also included on the King Mask which allows for the adjustment of the seal through inflation or deflation of the cushion in order to suit the patient’s anatomical contours.
User Benefits
A ribbed edge surrounds the cushion of the King Mask, and is designed to improve the grip of the user in order to maintain a consistent seal throughout prolonged use. The dome of the mask is also clear, which allows for the patient’s condition to be observed during use.
A range of options
The King Mask is supplied in a range of 7 sizes, suitable for infant, paediatric and adult patients. Scented variants of the King Mask are also available, these products have been found to be able to have calming effects during induction, particularly in children. Products including hook rings are also available.
